Representatives of the Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan (FEFA) on Sunday called on the national election commissions to address the shortcomings and mistakes of the first round ahead of the runoff in June in order to prevent them from being repeated.
"We should learn from the first round and the Independent Election Commission (IEC) has to prevent the same challenges of the first round and not allow them to be repeated," FEFA's Spokesperson Faheem Naeemi said at a press conference in Kabul on Sunday.
FEFA's press conference was convened so that it could announce the release of a report on the first round, which the organization hoped would help election officials ensure a better runoff.
