Geography
Location: In eastern Afghanistan at 34.0°N 69.2°E and borders Paktia, Ghazni, Wardak, Kabul and Nangarhar provinces as well as the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan.
Size: 3,880 sq kilometers (1,500 sq miles)

Capital: Pul-i-Alam city
Topography: While mountainous in the east, southeast and south, the province is largely a flat river valley centered on the Logar River, which provides irrigation for agriculture in the province as well as much of southeastern Afghanistan. The Tera Pass cuts through the mountains to the south and connects Logar to Paktia province.
