Tamanna has two Ph.D degrees, one in international relations, from a Tehran university, and the other in international studies, from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India.
He has 10 years’ experience teaching in various universities around the country, and has served as head of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for several years.
Tamanna was also an Afghan diplomat in 2002, and served as spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following his diplomatic mission, he worked as a cultural expert in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in 2008. He has written two books of research and 30 academic and research articles.
Sayed Qeyas Sayed and Mohammad Amin Reshadat are his running mates as first and second vice president, respectively.
